Meet Mystery Wonderful
He lives in Nowhere, New Hampshire — a small town tucked into the foothills where the woods are crowded with weeds that grew into trees and the stores all close by 8pm. Above a burned-out laundromat is his apartment. Down the street is Dottie's Library, where he rents books and DVDs he watches on a 13" CRT.
He listens to CDs on an old Walkman. He doesn't own a smartphone. He's never late. He makes soup from scratch. And lots of thrifting, of course.
He's not waiting for anything. He's just there, the way people used to be before everything got loud.
You'll usually find him in the in-between places. Empty laundromats at 11pm. Gas station parking lots at dawn. The back booth of a diner that's about to close.
